Port Orford
(Port Orford is a very small town of 1200 people and is so remote that when visitor traffic is down, like in the winter, the restaurants tend to curtail their days and hours of operation. On Sun and Mon nights especially, there is a very limited selection, though a half-hour's drive to Bandon or Gold Beach will provide a lot more to pick from. Our well-equipped (and beautiful) kitchen in the Guest Hall makes it easy to prepare a convenient meal - and Ray's supermarket is less than 2 miles away. We hope you find this a reasonable trade for the peace and quiet, gorgeous scenery and lack of crowds in our little town. Though there is a new fine restaurant opening next year - RedFish, overlooking the bay - that is promising to be open 7 days a week. Fingers crossed.)
