WildSpring is a lovely, naturally beautiful place for small weddings and commitment ceremonies. The perfect, peaceful setting for families and friends to spend time with each other and celebrate this special event.

Imagine an open-air ceremony overlooking the ocean on the Guest Hall deck (see the bird's-eye view of the deck on the right), or in Mary's Grove next to the walking labyrinth surrounded by 100-ft trees. Or in the Guest Hall at night, draped with twinkling lights.

We can set up the Guest Hall for the reception (and even move the ceremony inside in case of inclement weather), where the floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outside in. Or design a candlelit party on the deck with a brilliant canopy of stars.

And, we can arrange for everything you need, including catering for a reception/dinner, flowers, decorations, cake and officiant.

Weddings can be scheduled for guests staying at WildSpring from October through May, outside of holiday weekends, and one thing to keep in mind when considering WildSpring: We will work with you to make sure it lives up to your hopes. However, if you're looking for a formal, traditional ceremony and reception/dinner, you would not be satisfied with WildSpring's capabilities. We can certainly make your event look lovely, with exceptional catering, but in a more natural setting with more simple decorations...and especially if you are looking for an eco-friendly celebration.

Lodging accommodations
We can accommodate 20 people among five cabins. Each cabin has a livingroom and bedroom that can be seperated by pocket doors. The spacious bathroom can be accessed from either room.

And, approximately 20 people can fit on the deck or in the Guest Hall.

For larger ceremonies where the immediate family would like to stay together here, there is a new restaurant overlooking Port Orford Bay with an adjacent art gallery (both wonderful)- Redfish and Hawthorn Gallery - that has expanded capacity.

Catering
We can cater meals for your party, bring in a chef to cook to your specifications in the modern, fully-equipped kitchen in the Guest Hall, arrange for group meals at local restaurants. You can also use the facilities to prepare your own meals - we even have both propane and charcoal grills for your use.

We start each day with our breakfast buffet suited to your preferences in the Guest Hall overlooking the ocean (great whale-watching all year long on the deck).

We can also provide wines and champagne at below-retail prices.

Activities
We can arrange for activities for your group, such as jet boats up the Rogue River in Gold Beach, sunset horseback rides on the beach, golf, and ocean, river and lake fishing. There are art galleries galore in Port Orford and the south coast. And, we can arrange for massages, tai chi, drumming/Native American flute circle, guided meditation and arts and crafts here at WildSpring. And don't forget, there is great beach-combing here for driftwood and agates.

Charges
Weddings are for WildSpring guests, and there are two charges for weddings: Lodging charges and Service charges.

Lodging charges will be determined based on your party - how many and how long you're staying. If the ceremony and reception/dinner is to be here, weddings require booking the entire property for a two-day stay in order to accommodate that. We can discuss exceptions to very small ceremonies only (please see below for additional considerations). Click Group Rates for lodging charges.

Service charges vary according to your plans and they include use of our facilities, working with you to plan, manage and clean up your events.

If you have a reception/dinner here, the wedding service charge is $1200. This includes helping develop and facilitate your event, including gathering information, discussing options, planning and making arrangements with you prior to the wedding, working with caterer, florist, photographer, music and officiant as necessary, and to handle setting up and breaking down the tables and chairs, and cleanup. If you have a personal chef prepare your dinner, we will add a staff member to work with him/her throughout the event to support the dishes and kitchen cleanup for $125. If a local restaurant caters, that is unnecessary. Decorating is not included, and depends on what you want done.

We can serve up to 20 people for dinner/reception. There will be a $20 surcharge for anyone coming here who is not staying at WildSpring.

If you have just a ceremony and no reception dinner, the wedding service charge is $500. This includes helping develop and facilitate your ceremony, including discussing options, planning and making arrangements with you prior to the wedding, working with florist, photographer, music and officiant as necessary, and to handle setting up and breaking down the chairs and cleanup. Decorating is not included, and depends on what you want done.

We can have up to 20 people for the ceremony. There will be a $5 surcharge for anyone coming here who is not staying at WildSpring.

Plus, like all small groups, there will be a service charge on the other days of your stay, depending on use of our facilities and how much assistance you need to plan, develop, set up and clean up for group use of the faciities, such as group meals and gatherings. This will be a minimum of $100/day, up to $500/day...though normally there is no charge for the last day since we take care of breakfast for your group.

If you do not take the entire property: We will have to discuss the impact of your plans on other guests - you will have to share the common facilities with everyone here and work around our normal daily schedule. There will still be a service rcharge to cover any planning, development and management of your event, minimum $175. This must be for a very small ceremony, with only a few people, and no reception/dinner. There will also be a $5 surcharge for anyone coming here who is not staying at WildSpring.

We are happy to discuss the merits of various third-party options in this area - such as caterers, florists, etc - that we have experience with and to provide you with their contact information. If we handle arrangements - helping plan what they will do for you, bringing that info to you for approval - and handle payment ourselves, we will add 20% to their charge. If you deal wiith them and pay them directly, we add nothing (we will work with them to coordinate their efforts here of course). You are welcome to bring your own chef, flowers, etc.

Reservations & Cancellations
A 50% deposit is required when making reservations for groups. For cancellation more than 30 days before arrival date, we will refund half your deposit. No refunds for cancellations within 30 days before arrival date. Group rate will not change due to individual cancellations less than 7 days before the event.

Children
While our policy is a minimum age for children of 13, we allow very mature children a few years younger (but not below the age of 8). We will accept infants if a group is taking the entire property and they are not yet out of the crib. Our cabins are filled with art and antiques that make it impossible for us to child-proof against toddlers or even crawling babies. Infants would be an additional $15 charge/day.
